This privacy policy applies to the CineLingo app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Amachete, LLC (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
• The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
• The time spent on the Application
• The operating system you use on your mobile device

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to email. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

The Application's optional Head Tilt mini-game lets you answer quiz questions by tilting your head left or right. To do this, the Application uses Apple's ARKit face tracking, which relies on the TrueDepth camera on supported devices. The game starts only after you open it and grant camera permission.

• What is collected: While the game is open, ARKit gives the Application the position and orientation of your face. The Application reads only one value from it: the side-to-side tilt (roll angle) of your head. It does not read or use facial expressions (blend shapes), face geometry or mesh, depth maps, or any face identifiers. It does not use face data to identify you, to recognize faces, or for authentication.
• Purpose: The tilt angle is used only to detect whether you tilted left or right to choose an answer.
• Processing and storage: All face-tracking data is processed in real time and only on your device, in memory. The Application does not save face data to the device and does not include it in analytics. Neither face data nor the head-tilt angle derived from it is ever sent to the Service Provider's servers or backend. Your answers in the game are scored on your device. The data is discarded frame by frame and stops the moment you leave the game.
• Sharing: Face data and head-tilt data are not shared with, sold to, or disclosed to the Service Provider or any third party, including the AI, analytics and advertising providers named in this policy. The only thing from this game that can ever leave your device is the optional gameplay video described below, and only if you explicitly choose to share it yourself.
• Retention and deletion: Because face data is never stored or transmitted, it is not retained. Nothing needs to be deleted.
• Optional gameplay clip: With your permission through Apple's system screen-recording prompt, the game may record a short video of the game screen, which can include the camera image of you. The clip is stored only in temporary storage on your device. The clip is never uploaded automatically and is never sent to the Service Provider. It leaves your device only if you explicitly tap "Share Clip" and choose where to send it with the iOS share sheet, for example to show friends your game and encourage them to learn a language too. It is deleted when you play again, change mode, or leave the game. The clip contains no TrueDepth depth data or face-tracking data.

Some features of the Application let you speak or type to the Application in a conversational way, for example asking a question about a phrase or practising a line of dialogue. To provide these features, the Service Provider sends the relevant conversational data (the text or audio you provide, together with the language context needed to answer) to the following third-party AI service providers, who process it on the Service Provider's behalf:

• Google Gemini (Google LLC) — used to generate answers, explanations, translations and example content from your questions and inputs.
• ElevenLabs (ElevenLabs Inc.) — used to generate spoken audio for words, phrases and responses.

These providers act as processors for the Service Provider, are bound by their own terms and privacy commitments, and are not permitted to use your data for purposes other than providing the service. The Service Provider sends only the data needed for the feature you are using and does not include your name, email address or account identifiers in these requests. If you do not want conversational data processed in this way, do not use the conversational features of the Application.

The Service Provider uses the Meta Pixel and related Meta measurement tools (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) to measure the effectiveness of advertising for the Application and to understand how people arrive at it. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location, the pages or screens you visit, and events such as installing the Application, signing up or making a purchase, and may link that information to a Meta account if you have one. Meta processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can limit this tracking through your device settings (on iOS, by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt), through your Meta advertising preferences, and by using browser tracking-prevention features.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at ankiar@amachete.co and they will respond in a reasonable time.

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2024-06-01 and was last updated on 2026-10-17 (added the AI Processing of Conversational Data, Advertising Measurement and Face Data sections).

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
